Scuola superiore: Gita a Berlino XI classe
La cosa più conosciuta di Berlino è il muro: siamo andati a visitare quello che ne resta e abbiamo visto la parte abbellita con graffiti che rappresentano la divisione in Berlino est e ovest.
Uno dei momenti più toccanti è stato il dialogo con alcuni immigrati dalla Siria e dal Ciad, che abbiamo incontrato nella sede di una ONG del quartiere multietnico; ci hanno raccontato la loro storia e il loro viaggio, e descritto la situazione difficile in cui si trovano, senza lavoro e nell’impossibilità di ritornare a casa.
Berlino viene ricordata spesso come una città “fredda” a causa della sua storia, invece abbiamo scoperto che è una città molto moderna e innovativa.
Our school trip to Berlin
Travelling is one of the best things you can do in your life, because it makes you think differently, inspires you and makes you feel alive.
At the beginning of September we (the 11th class) went to Berlin: it was our first visit abroad. The first thing that impressed us during this school trip was the wall, even if it is only a little part of what you can see in Berlin. It is a symbol of the fall of the city, but also of its rising.
Another very interesting thing was the testimony of two refugees at the headquarters of an NGO. By speaking with them we could understand how the war obliged them to leave their countries behind in order to look for a better life, by risking their own. It was a very tough and intense conversation.
This is a taste of our school trip. People might think that Berlin is a “cold” city, because of its history, by we’ve discovered a modern , original and welcoming place, where we would have stayed much longer.
